It has been brought to the club's notice that some owners advertising their Alpines for sale on this website have received fraudulent offers. These take the form of an email offering to buy the car but sending more than the asking price thus requiring you to refund the excess via your bank account.
Under no circumstances should any reply be made and delete the email at the first opportunity.
However, the request to do this transfer may not arrive in the first or even second email, so please be careful when replying to enquiries.
2/9/2006 We have now been notified by a member (thank you Ken) that he has received a telephone call asking for details about the Alpine, offering to pay the asking price and then asking for his bank details. 
Under no circumstances should you respond to this telephone call.

Sunbeam Alpine Series III 1963 (658 BRU) 
(Club ID Registration Number 2940) First registered 27/11/1993
Wedgwood Blue. Current owner 12 years. Comprehensive service history from new. 1592cc with Weber carb. tuned by specialist on rolling road. Recondition engine and refurbished engine bay 1997. SS exhaust. Excellent mechanically. Driven to Italy and back 3 years ago with no problems. 
Body in good condition with all usual rust spots repaired and paint matched. 
Demon Tweaks sports seats and gearbox tunnel in black with white piping. Garaged. MOT to August 2009. Had great fun with car but finances force sale.

Sunbeam Alpine Series V 1968 (FSO 764F) Restoration Project.
(Club ID Registration Number 3619) First registered 7/2008
Silver? General Condition (without obligation): Chassis rolls and brakes. Engine turns and sparks.
Outer-Body in good condition and requires rust proofing then painting. Under-Body in reasonable condition and requires some repairing of inner-sills and rust proofing and coating. Owned since 1988.
3rd Owner. 52,300 miles. Engine-Bay in reasonable condition and requires some repairing of inner-wings joining to outer-wings and to bulkhead. MOT: not since c.1993? but stored in dry.

(Club ID Registration Number 1730) First registered 1987
Green.
1592cc with hard top, soft top and tonneau. Series 5 o/d gearbox- both running beautifully.1 year MOT (May09). 67k miles. 3 owners from new. 
New clutch (300miles) and new cooling system (700miles). 
Lead free head. Stainless steel exhaust. Bodywork very straight and in very good condition, as is all underside. Cab average. 
Some spares. Engine/gearbox rebuilt 2001.

Red.
Recently fitted Brake Master Cylinder, Servo & Front Disc Callipers. Soft Top only. New tyres fitted approx 24 months ago, hardly driven since. MoT October 2008.

Sunbeam Alpine Series IV 1965 (DNA 250C)
(Club ID Registration Number 3521) First Registered 18/7/2006
Red. Fully restored with new hood, carpets, front wings, seats, battery, brakes. brake servo, and lots of other parts. Gear box has been reconditioned with new clutch and is fitted with overdrive. Engine is a reconditioned 1725cc Holbay with twin 40 Webber carbs. with bell mouths. All chrome parts have been rechromed. New 12month MOT
Carbs. reconditioned and rolling road tested.
Genuine reason for selling this excellent example of an alpine.

(Club  ID Registration Number 1444)  First Registered 22/10/1990
White. Automatic Sports. White with black interior. Black Soft top and Tonneau in very good condition. 73,000 miles. 
Tax exempt, MOT 03 Feb 2009 New tyres 1500 miles ago, Electric cooling fan, electronic ignition, converted to alternator. All original parts kept for reconversion to original. New battery July 2007. SS exhaust, SS flexible Brake pipes. Servo replaced with new. Chrome in good condition. The car is in good useable condition. The car is in Bury Lancashire.
